Dear Carolina Community,

We are happy to report that the number of COVID-19 cases and positivity rates continue to decline over the past week. In the last seven days, we have had a 19.7% symptomatic positivity rate at Campus Health and 5.5% at CTTP. As a reminder, those rates were 36% and 10.7% respectively last week, and for comparison, the positivity rate at UNC Health for symptomatic patients for the last seven days is 36%. The cases that Campus Health sees continue to have mild to moderate symptoms.

With the declining numbers, it can be tempting to skip the COVID-19 Community Standards, but they are a key factor to our success each semester. Continue to wear a well-fitting mask, especially indoors, remain up to date on your vaccination and stay home if you have any symptoms.

Updated CTTP Hours

We share the updated hours for the CTTP center last week, but are sharing again as a reminder:

Monday and Wednesday: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Tuesday and Thursday: 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Friday: 9 a.m. – noon

Saturday and Sunday: Closed

As a reminder, the CTTP center is for asymptomatic students, faculty, and staff by appointment through HallPass. Symptomatic testing continues to be available at Campus Health for students. Faculty and staff should continue to seek symptomatic testing through their health care provider. All students should report positive results from off-campus testing or at-home tests to Campus Health. Employees should report positive test results to Occupational Health.

After this week, we will return the CTTP emails to an as-needed basis instead of weekly. You can see the latest numbers on the Carolina Together Dashboard, which just reached 1 million views, and is updated Monday through Friday.
