Dear Carolina Community,

Today we are sharing the expectations for the Carolina Together Testing Program for the rest of the spring semester, including exit testing and revised center hours. We are also providing the guidelines for people who will be on campus during the summer, including re-entry testing and group testing requirements.

First, we would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who has contributed to the success of the CTTP this semester. The centers and lab have been open for five months, and in that time, we have processed over an astounding 170,000 tests, and our asymptomatic positivity rate has remained below 1% all semester. Most recently it is 0.16% this week. Again, this is a testament to the commitment of our community to continue to get tested, as well as the hard work of the student volunteers, faculty and staff who have worked to keep the program going, and ultimately, our campus and local communities safer.

Spring Expectations – Exit Testing

We are headed into the final weeks of the Spring 2021 semester, and we encourage everyone to finish strong and build on this success. The COVID-19 Community Standards and testing requirements remain in place until you head home at the end of the semester. For the safety of those in your home communitiesplease make a plan to exit test at a CTTP center before you leave and limit your social interactions until you leave the community.
